EKANTOR.PL BATTLE OF EUROPE - QUALIFICATION

Rules of recording Qualifier WOD:

- Prior to the workout an athlete must introduce himself/herself by giving one's name, surname and a category in which one is taking part and qualifier WOD number.

- Prior to the workout the barbell (its weight) and the load on it must be clearly shown, box height must be measured - if there is no high written (with a measuring tape, not with a ruler)

- the camera must be situated so that judges don't have any doubts about the standards of the performed repetitions, otherwise the repetitions will not be counted.

- Timer must be visible throughout the whole recording (it can be a timer in an application on a mobile phone)

- Film should be recorded in good resolution and quality which will enable the judgement without any disruption and doubts.

- Film must be recorded in one continuous file so make sure the batteries in your recording devices are charged.

- Post your recording on YouTube with a proper name: your name and surname, competition name, category and WOD number eg. John Smith, Ekantor.pl Battle of Europe, ELITE MEN, WOD Q19.1.

- post the link to your recording on YouTube at our website https://athletes.battleofeurope.eu log in on your profile via link sent in mail and declare your result.

In case of any trouble, argument or complaints about issues not described above during the qualification stage, please contact us.

WOD Q19.1.

Qualifier WOD 1 for individual categories (without ADAPTIVE) is here!
It is divided into 2 parts: A and B.

Remarks to WOD Q19.1 (what you must pay attention to):

Row:

  • Before start: knees must be extended; don't grab the handle of the rower
  • exact training time (10' or 15') and units need to be set on the rower settings
  • the result is the number of meters 
  • team can switch in any moment by "high five", lack of "high five" is considered a "no rep"
  • every "no rep" means deducting 30 meters from the final result

Squat snatch:

  • training consists in finding maximum weight for 1 repetition
  • start part B with empty bar
  • snatch must be perform to a full squat
  • the hips must descent below the knee line
  • the final phase barbell must be over the body line with knee, hip and elbow joint extended
  • score must be in kilograms
  • a third party cannot help in loading the bar
  • the teams score is total of both athletes' result
  • in team category one barbell must be used during the training
  • In teams athletes switch by "high five",  lack of "high five" is considered a "no rep" in next rep

Training divided into 2 parts A and B, which are score separetly, but during recorging there is no break between parts A and B (a total of 15' in individual categories and 22' in team category)

Remarks to WOD Q19.1 ADAPTIVE (what you must pay attention to):

The training consists in performing the greatest number of repetitions within 10' time cap. In the first round there is 1 cal on a rower, 2 WBS and 2DB alternate snatches, in the second round there are respectively 2 cal on a rower, 4 WBS and 4 DB alternate snatches. The following rounds are as follows: 3-6-6, 4-8-8, and so on until the time cap elapses.

Row:

  • do not touch the handle of the rower before starting the training
  • before every round make sure the meter of the rower is set to zero

WBS:

  • measure the height of 200cm and mark it
  • the weight of the ball for women is 3kg, and 6kg for men

DB snatch alternate:

  • dumbbell snatches have to be performed alterately (different arm each time). In case of no rep, eg. with a right arm, continue the snatch with the same hand until the rep is considered correct, after that change the arm
  • the wight of the dumbbell for women is 5kg and for men it is 10kg

Remarks to WOD Q19.2 (what you must pay attention to):

Training consists in alternate performance of a number of pull ups and thrusters respectively for individual categories: 3 pull ups, 3 thrusters, 6 pull ups, 6 thrusters, 9 - 9, 12 - 12, 15 - 15, 18 - 18. For teams it is: 6 pull ups, 6 thrusters, 12 pull ups, 12 thrusters, 18 - 18, 24 - 24, 30 - 30. Time cap for performing the training is 10' for individual categories and 13' for teams.

PULL UP:

  • Start from the straight position
  • Begin hanging on the bar with elbows fully extended
  • In the final phase chin must be over the bar
  • you can use any pull up technic
  • team can switch in any moment by "high five", lack of "high five" is considered a "no rep"
  • "no rep" means 7s penatly

THRUSTER:

  • First rep can be performer by power clean or squat clean
  • The hips must descend below the knees line
  • Smooth transition from front squat to overhead position
  • In the final phase barbell must be over the head with knee, hip elbow joints extended
  • in team category one barbell must be used during the training
  • Team can switch in any moment by "high five", lack of "high five" is considered a "no rep"
  • "no rep" means 7s penatly

Remarks to WOD Q19.3 (what you must pay attention to):

Training consist of 2 elements: deadlift and burpee. For individual categories this are bar facing burpees and for teams lateral burpees. The training needs to be performed in a form of rounds 10 deadlifts, 1 burpee, 9 deadlifs, 2 burpees and so on. Teams must perform the workout synchronically. Time ca is 8'  for all categories.

DEADLIFT:

  • start the movement with barbell on the ground
  • pull the barbell to your hips with knee, hip and elbow joints fully extended
  • shoulders must pass the barbell line at full extension
  • teams must perform the movement synchronically
  • "no rep" means 7s penatly

BAR FACING BURPEE:

  • start with knee and hip joints fully extended
  • in the first phase of the movement go down and lie on the ground with 3 contact points - feet, hips and chest 
  • in the second phase of the movement go up by jumping both feets to your hands or move first and than second feet to your hands
  • jump must be with both feets together
  • finish the movement by frontal jump over the bar 
  • "no rep" means 7s penatly

LATERAL BURPEE:

  • start with knee and hip joints fully extended
  • in the first phase of the movement go down and lie on the ground with 3 contact points - feet, hips and chest 
  • in the second phase of the movement go up by jumping both feets to your hands or move first and than second feet to your hands
  • jump must be with both feets together
  • finish the movement by lateral jump over the bar 
  • teams must perform the movement synchronically
  • "no rep" means 7s penatly
